01

Reach out

Book on this website, or call, text, or WhatsApp 437-983-3899. Provide your pickup, destination, vehicle, and contact details.

02

We verify and confirm

Dispatch confirms availability, price, identity, vehicle authorization, insurance documents, and a trip reference before assigning a driver.

03

Your uniformed driver arrives

The driver checks the vehicle and documents, then drives you and your authorized vehicle to the confirmed destination.

Book online

Request a driver in a few minutes.

Complete the form below. It creates a structured WhatsApp request for dispatch. A booking is confirmed only after we verify availability, pricing, customer identity, and vehicle authorization by text or phone.

Do not send photographs of your driver's licence, registration, or insurance through this form. Dispatch will explain the secure verification process. No payment is taken until the booking is confirmed. Never send payment card numbers, passwords, or full identity documents through WhatsApp or ordinary email.

Before dispatch

Customer and vehicle verification

  • Identity: booking name and mobile number are confirmed.
  • Vehicle: plate, make, model, colour, ownership or written authorization are checked.
  • Insurance: proof of insurance for the specific vehicle must be available.
  • Condition: the driver completes a visual safety check and may refuse an unsafe vehicle.
Professional arrival

Uniformed and identifiable drivers

Assigned drivers arrive in company uniform with visible photo identification and a dispatch confirmation containing the booking and trip reference.

Zero tolerance

Illegal or unsafe activity

Drivers do not search customers or belongings. They may refuse or end service when they reasonably suspect illegal drugs, weapons, stolen property, violence, threats, unsafe intoxication, or any unlawful activity. Police or 911 may be contacted where required for safety.

Why it matters

Plan a safe ride before taking the risk.

Impaired driving can lead to injury, death, criminal charges, licence suspension, vehicle impoundment, insurance consequences, and major financial loss. Call 911 for a medical emergency, a collision, violence, an unconscious person, or immediate danger. This service is transportation support, not emergency response.

Why customers can trust us

Clear people, clear pricing, clear process.

A late-night driver service should never feel uncertain. Before anyone hands over their keys, we confirm who is coming, what the trip will cost, what documents are required, and how to reach dispatch.

Before the trip

Written confirmation

You receive the pickup, destination, estimated hourly cost, actual cab-cost arrangement, cancellation terms, assigned-driver details, and a unique trip reference by text or WhatsApp.

Your driver arrives in professional uniform with visible company photo ID. You can compare the driver name and details with the dispatch confirmation before giving access to the vehicle.

After the trip

Payment record and receipt

Card payments should be handled through a secure payment provider. Customers receive an itemized receipt showing service time, tax, and any cab fare passed through at actual cost.

No surprises

Driver safety protocol

Every trip has a clear record.

Dispatch records the customer, pickup, destination, vehicle, plate, assigned driver, time, and trip reference. If stopped by police, the driver cooperates and provides their driver's licence plus the vehicle ownership and insurance documents supplied for the trip. Company identification and the booking record can explain the designated-driver assignment, but they do not replace legally required documents or prevent an investigation.

Refuse service

Safety comes first

A driver may refuse or end a trip because of threats, violence, suspected criminal activity, weapons, unsafe intoxication, missing documents, unauthorized vehicle use, or unsafe vehicle condition.

Police interaction

Cooperate and document

The driver remains respectful, identifies themselves, provides required driving documents, and contacts dispatch. The customer must answer questions about ownership, authorization, or personal belongings.

Privacy

Collect only what is needed

Booking information is used for dispatch, safety, payment, and legal compliance. Sensitive documents should be viewed through a secure process, retained only when necessary, and protected under a published privacy policy.

Emergency

Call the right service

Call 911 for violence, weapons, overdose, unconsciousness, a collision, immediate danger, or a person requiring medical care. DriverOnDial is not an emergency response service.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do you drive my own car?

Yes, always. Your driver takes your vehicle, with you in it, to wherever you're going. Your car never gets left behind.

How is a driver assigned to me?

When you call, text, or WhatsApp us, we dispatch the nearest available driver from our team to your location.

How fast can someone reach me in an emergency?

We don't promise an exact time, since it depends on traffic, driver availability, and your location. What we can promise is that we dispatch the closest available driver right away and do our best to get to you fast.

What's your cancellation policy?

Once a booking has been confirmed, cancelling it results in a minimum charge of $24.99 plus HST, even if the assigned driver has not yet started travelling. A request that has not been confirmed can be withdrawn without this charge.

What areas do you cover?

Toronto and roughly 80km around it, including Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Pickering, and the rest of the GTA. Call to confirm your area.

How much will it cost?

For a pickup between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM booked at least 3 hours in advance, the price is a flat $24.99 per hour plus HST with no extra driver transportation charge. Short-notice bookings and pickups between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM may include the driver’s actual round-trip transportation cost, with no markup. The complete price is confirmed before the booking is accepted.

How do I pay?

Credit or debit card.

Can you drive any vehicle?

We accept many customer-owned passenger vehicles, including luxury, manual-transmission, rental, and company vehicles, only when the assigned driver is appropriately licensed and comfortable operating the vehicle. The vehicle must be registered, roadworthy, and insured, and the owner or authorized renter must give permission. Policy and rental-agreement restrictions always apply.

Are children and pets allowed?

Yes. A child must travel with a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older. We can assist with installing a customer-provided child seat, but the parent or guardian must confirm the seat is appropriate and safely secured. Pets are allowed in the customer’s vehicle and must be safely restrained.

Why do you verify me and the vehicle?

Verification helps confirm that the person booking is identifiable and that the vehicle is owned by them or being used with the registered owner's, rental company's, or employer's authorization. We may refuse service when ownership, permission, registration, or insurance cannot be reasonably confirmed.

What happens if police stop the vehicle?

The assigned driver cooperates with police and provides their driver's licence plus the vehicle ownership and insurance documents required for the vehicle. The driver may also show company identification and the dispatch record. The customer remains responsible for explaining ownership, authorization, belongings, and the purpose of the trip.

Can a driver refuse a customer?

Yes. Service may be refused or ended for threats, violence, weapons, suspected illegal drugs or stolen property, unlawful activity, an unsafe vehicle, missing documents, or conduct that puts the driver or public at risk.

Who is responsible for vehicle insurance?

The vehicle owner or authorized user is responsible for keeping valid insurance on the vehicle and confirming that the policy permits the assigned driver and intended use. Coverage depends on the terms of the specific policy, rental agreement, or employer authorization. We may refuse a booking when permission or insurance cannot be reasonably confirmed.

Will I receive the driver's details before pickup?

Yes. After the booking is confirmed, dispatch should send the assigned driver's name, identification details, expected arrival information, and trip reference. Do not hand over your keys if the person who arrives does not match the confirmation.

Will I receive a receipt?

Yes. A completed trip should receive an itemized electronic receipt showing the billable time, tax, payment amount, and any cab fare passed through at actual cost.

How can I make a complaint or report a safety concern?

Contact dispatch immediately at 437-983-3899 or email driver@ocdtoronto.com. Include the trip reference, date, and a clear description. For immediate danger, violence, suspected impaired driving, or a medical emergency, call 911.

Do vehicle-for-hire rules apply?

Toronto's published vehicle-for-hire rules specifically regulate taxicabs, limousines, and private transportation companies that connect passengers with drivers of private vehicles. Our service uses the customer's own vehicle, so it does not clearly match those published categories. We operate only where legally permitted and may request written guidance from the applicable municipality when required.

  • Booking verification: The customer must provide accurate identity, contact, trip, vehicle, licence plate, ownership or authorization, and insurance information. Service may be refused if information or documents cannot be verified.
  • Illegal activity: Customers may not carry illegal drugs, prohibited weapons, stolen property, or use the service to facilitate an offence. Drivers do not conduct searches, but may refuse service and contact police when there is a reasonable safety or legal concern.
  • Police stops: Company identification and a booking record may help explain the service relationship but do not provide immunity, replace required documents, or prevent police investigation.
  • Vehicle insurance: The vehicle owner or authorized user is responsible for maintaining valid insurance and confirming that the policy, rental agreement, or employer authorization permits the assigned driver and intended trip. Coverage is determined by the specific policy terms.
  • This service provides a safe transportation alternative and is not a substitute for emergency medical or police services. In a medical emergency or immediate danger, call 911.
  • The person booking must be at least 18 years old. Children may travel only with a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older. A customer-provided child seat may be installed with assistance, but the parent or guardian remains responsible for selecting the correct seat and confirming that it is installed and used safely.
  • Driver availability and arrival times vary with location, time of day, weather, and demand, and are not guaranteed.
  • Licensing: Toronto publicly identifies taxicabs, limousines, and private transportation companies as regulated vehicle-for-hire categories. A customer-owned designated-driver service is not expressly described on the City pages reviewed. Service is provided only where legally permitted, and municipal requirements may vary by city.
  • Riders are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is legally registered, insured, and roadworthy for the trip.
  • Drivers are screened through criminal record, vulnerable sector, and driving record checks before assignment. Screening does not guarantee that no incident will occur.
  • Dispatch may use trip, pickup, contact, and location information to coordinate service and support safety. A privacy policy and customer consent process should be implemented before collecting or retaining precise location information.
  • Cancellation: Once a booking is confirmed, cancellation is charged at the 1-hour minimum of $24.99 plus HST, even if the assigned driver has not started travelling.
  • Pets are permitted at the customer’s discretion in the customer’s vehicle. The customer is responsible for safely restraining the pet and for any cleaning or damage caused.
